The Beatles were an iconic rock band from Liverpool, England that became extremely famous during the 60s. The group comprised four members that included John Lennon on vocals and rhythm guitar, Paul McCartney on vocals and bass guitar, George Harrison on lead guitar and backup vocals and Ringo Starr on drums and backup vocals. The band boasted harmonious voices accompanied by musical arrangements which consisted of pop genre to rock and roll style.

Also known as “The Fab Four”, their fame dramatically grew and by the late 60s they invaded the pop music market in the United States. It was also this time when their fans multiplied into millions, labelling this era as Beatlemania, which grew as their songwriting and arrangement became more and more sophisticated. Their first album was Love Me Do and it gave them an instant hit. Their “British Invasion” was unstoppable as they continuously created and released new powerful albums that included Revolver during 1966, Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), The Beatles in 1968, and Abbey Road during 1969. The Beatles are considered as the most popular and best selling pop group in music history with over a billion albums sold even after they disbanded in 1970. During their active years, they won 7 Grammy awards, 1 Academy Award for Best Original Song Score, and 15 Novello Awards (British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors). They have been unsurprisingly included by Time Magazine as one of the most influential people in the 20th century.
