Michael Jackson was one of the most popular and influential entertainers and artists in the music industry. In fact, he has been included in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most successful pop artist of all time. Also known as MJ, Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958. He had 10 siblings and was the seventh child. He started singing in 1964 with his brothers, with their group then known as the Jackson 5. However, he quickly surpassed the successes of his siblings especially when he started a solo career back in 1971.
He became popular not only with his songs and amazing dance moves, but many people and fans adored his fashion sense and craved to know all about his personal life. The peak of his musical career was during the 80s as he wrote, sung, and created music videos (which were incessantly aired in MTV channel) that include Billie Jean, Thriller, and Beat It. He continued to invade television programs, concert arenas, and live shows as he sang and danced his songs such as Black and White and Scream during the 90s. The year 2000 came and he started to evolve around the times as he began incorporating R&B music to his music arrangements. He became an instant hit again ranking him as the best musical artist in the 20th century. He was inducted twice in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, won 13 Grammy Awards, and 26 American Music Awards. He also achieved the Grammy Lifetime Award at such an early age. He died on June 25, 2009 much to the great sadness of his fans, family, and friends.
